Our latest monthly careers blog is now up on The Bookseller website, with our SYP Publicity 'Insider' illustrating what you can expect to encounter in the high-flying, occasionally glamorous world of a trade publicity department. Last month our Editorial Insider analysed the ups and downs of an editorial career, and revealed how the job involves a great deal more than rearranging words on a page and reading books. You can reach the blog by clicking www.thebookseller.com/sypblog, and if you’ve got an opinion to share then please do comment on their website. Written anonymously, the blog highlights what it really takes to get ahead in the industry, by drafting in well-placed publishers to deliver frank accounts of their daily book grind. |
